Mission & Vision

we are more than a building..

The Mission

Following Jesus. Raising Disciples. Building Friendships.

At Friendship Church, we believe church is more than a place to attend—it's a family to belong to, a place to grow, and a community centered on Jesus Christ.

Our mission is simple: to follow Jesus faithfully, raise disciples who know and live God's Word, and build genuine friendships rooted in biblical truth and love.

We are committed to preaching the Bible, sharing the Gospel, and helping people of all ages develop a real, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We don't believe church should be about entertainment, appearances, or simply filling seats. We believe it's about lives being transformed by the Gospel, families being strengthened, and believers being equipped to live out their faith every day.

Whether you've followed Jesus for years, are just beginning to ask questions about faith, or are looking for a church family, there's a place for you here.

We're not interested in simply growing a crowd. We want to make disciples, build meaningful relationships, and see Jesus change lives.

The Vision

Our Vision at Friendship Church

A Church Rooted in God's Word. A Family Growing in Christ. A Community Reached with the Gospel.

At Friendship Church, our vision is to be a church where Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do, the Bible is our foundation, and people are encouraged to grow in a genuine relationship with God.

We don't want to simply be a church people attend on Sundays. We want to be a church that makes a difference in people's lives throughout the week.

We envision a church where families are strengthened, children are taught the truth of God's Word, teenagers are challenged to live boldly for Christ, and adults are equipped to grow as faithful disciples of Jesus.

Our desire is to reach beyond the walls of our building and into the homes, schools, and neighborhoods of Baxley and Appling County. We want our community to know that Friendship Church is a place where the Gospel is faithfully preached, people are genuinely loved, and everyone is encouraged to take their next step in following Jesus.

We believe the future of the church isn't built on programs, personalities, or entertainment. It's built on the unchanging Word of God, the power of the Gospel, and believers committed to making disciples.

Our vision isn't simply to see a larger congregation. It's to see lives changed, marriages strengthened, families restored, children grounded in Scripture, and generations of believers who love Jesus and share Him with others.

We want to be a church that doesn't just gather people, but equips them to go out and make a difference for Christ.

Our Heart for the Future

To see a growing, multigenerational church that faithfully teaches Scripture, intentionally disciples believers, reaches the lost, serves its community, and raises up the next generation to carry the Gospel forward.

Following Jesus. Raising Disciples. Building Friendships.

Not just for today, but for generations to come.
